She made a scoffing sound at his response, but she didn't want to be cynical. She kept her arms around him but she nodded her head with him and tried to push aside the idea that she was useless and not worthy of him. For a moment she had a flash of panic that he should be with Mara Jade and Mara would be able to protect him better, but she pushed it aside. She was too selfish to ever give him up, even if she WAS someone who sacrificed for others.
She smiled at him. "Maybe we can talk about things or do something that reminds you of the fun times? Of going to Coney Island on my last birthday and winning me a giant unicorn. Of gif wars and sparring and making each other laugh. Even..." she paused and looked around. "Even the first time we met on a roof and my 'staying away from boys' was completely shattered by how attracted I was to you in every way."
She put her hand up again to his weary face. "You're beautiful, Sam. I wish you didn't have to have the hard memories that you've had to look this way, but you'll always be beautiful to me. I love you, and you love me and well, grey hairs and all, we'll get through this." She put her hand down and pulled away, walking towards the end of the building so she could look out better over the city.
"If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you want to be?"
