Lily blinked at the sudden number of questions that was being leveled at her. Severus at this age too - and the mention of his father... before she answered she stepped into the flat and shut the door behind them. "I'm sorry, Sev, I wasn't - I mean. You don't know where you are?"
But obviously he didn't. She stepped into the flat and offered him a smile. "Of course not, um, I don't know if I'll explain this well, but you live here, Sev. I mean, you do when you're older. So I don't think you'll mind me coming in. Probably."
She had no idea where to go to explain this and she was afraid she wasn't doing a very good job. She stepped over to the kitchen and started a pot of water for tea. "Your Father isn't going to come looking for you here, Sev. He isn't here. We're in a different reality than our own... We've been pulled here, but - well, I don't know if it's magic, exactly, but it's a portal that's sort of like magic. But there isn't magic here, at least not like we know it. I mean, we are and we can use magic, but there isn't a magical world as such. And you're in New York City, and it's 2014. But - I'm here so, we'll get things sorted. You don't remember being here before?"
