Sharon had to laugh, gently at Steve's affirmation that he wouldn't let her get kidnapped. Sometimes, she really could see the skinny kid from Brooklyn who just said and did the right thing without a doubt in his heart. She took a cursory glance around, then leaned into the table and with a lowered voice said: "Good, I won't let anyone kidnap me either."
If Steve believed it was possible that Bucky saved him, than that's what she was going to put her stock in for now. They could be proven wrong later, right now it was as good a working theory as any and it might mean that Steve's hope was correct, and Bucky was in better shape after the crash than he was.
"But this is different. Last time, when Bucky was on the run after getting his memories back, he found Nick Fury, a man he knew during the war, and he helped him. Steve was -- we all thought Steve was dead. So this is different."
She shifted in her chair and took another sip of her wine before tucking a piece of her blonde hair that had fallen loose behind her ear. "What sort of intel do we have on the Winter Soldier already, and his movements within HYDRA?"
