Taking things seriously wasn't really Lilly's specialty. It wasn't that she didn't care she'd been minutes away from dying - and at the tender age of 17, no less. Lilly hated the thought of what was going to happen to her, but what good could dwelling on it do? If she let herself, she could probably manage to sink into a pretty deep depression over something she had no way of changing. It wasn't like this Tesse-whatever could send her back in time to handle things differently. Or even like it could send her home, at least not on purpose. The truth was that her head was spinning with all of this stuff - how she'd apparently been here before, how Logan's dad had killed her, how it had been October for her mere hours ago and now here it was almost her birthday again. It was much easier to focus on the less serious things, like how cool it was to be in New York. Anything else was just going to make her crazy.
When Lilly pulled open the door to her apartment, it was with a big smile on her face. From her perspective, she'd just seen Veronica yesterday, but that didn't mean she wasn't happy to see her now, too. "Veronica Mars, you grew up," she noted with a hint of approval before shifting her gaze from her best friend to the very tall, very hot man who was with her.
"And helloooo, Sam," she smirked a little before turning back to Veronica and mouthing an impressed "wow" at her. Apparently her friend had done really, really well for herself here. Lilly was glad. The last she'd seen her, Veronica had still been all mopey over Duncan and that definitely needed to change.
