Veronica nodded, smiling gratefully at his tenderness and reassurance. Maybe it would be better this time, with her having emotional support. She remembered part of the problem last time was Lilly's refusal to admit to certain facts. She wouldn't admit to her affairs, especially not the one she had with Weevil, and she seemed to treat most things like a joke. Veronica needed levity in her life, yes, but she wasn't ever sure if much about what happened after Lilly Kane really entered into Lilly's point of view. It was nice to go shopping and have fun with her friend again, but that had been before she and Sam had gotten so very serious. Veronica may have only been 19, but she felt much older than he age.
"I might. But I think it'll be good having you there, and having her see how important you are to me." She smiled and kissed his shoulder as she waited for the door to open.
"Lilly, it's me. And...and my Sam," she added, not sure how else to describe him. She didn't know why she was so nervous, but she was also excited to see her at the same time.
