"I am excellent at impressions, don't lower the bar to what Dick thinks," Veronica joked. Momentarily she missed Dick too, which was a weird sensation. Usually he drove her crazy, but occasionally she just had home pangs, and Dick was easy to poke fun of. Some of her best lines were at his expense. "You know, for a while, Bumblebee from Transformers was here, and he had Dick's face. It was pretty amusing the first time I saw him."
She noticed the shift to being quiet, and she didn't know if she could have done anything to help that considering it was just...truth. These were things they had to say, however much it was uncomfortable. She didn't know if she could tell him too much about the future at the moment, but she wanted him to have hope. "You know, you turn out well. In the future, I mean. You join the military, become really respectful. You look awesome in a uniform, for the record." She smiled flirtily, and then stopped, remembering that was a bad road to go down. She cleared her throat.
"I know. I really do know that, it took me a long time to be really happy here, even with Sam. I just....want to be a part of your life here, through the happy and not happy."
