She nodded, taking another long sip of her tea. She didn't even feel how hot it was or wasn't, she couldn't really taste it, but it was something to do and hold and it made her feel better. Pete didn't have a lot USEFUL to say, but she didn't think he would. She just needed to get it out and not sit in her room alone being scared of someone being after her from another time and dimension. It was good to hear that he probably wouldn't be able to get her and it was just a dream, even if he didn't know that for sure. She needed the reassurance.
"You're probably right," she said, setting down her now empty cup on the coffee table. She sat back and thought, her head tilting slightly, like a dog thinking. "If he was to confront me, it would have to be here. And he wouldn't have too much advantage over me, because he couldn't travel in time here any more than I can. So, I guess unless he shows up, I'm safe. The question is, can I do something if he DOES come? My mum may have kept me ignorant all those years, and now I know barely enough to survive since it'd been less than 48 hours that I'd been able to even know about all this, but here? Unless he shows up right this moment, I can prepare. Do you know if there are ways to block telepaths from being able to see in your mind?" she wondered. He seemed to know a thing or two about telepathic types, so it was quite likely he could help her.
"Besides learning fencing, which I'm doing, and shooting, which I aim to start, I think mental blocks may be my next best weapon. If he can't get in my head, he couldn't strangle me from across the room, could he?"
