Well, it's not just that it's a secret that you know, it's that it wasn't their choice to tell you. And that's going to cause troubles, whether it's their secret identity or their favorite brand of chocolate chip cookies. Okay, the second one is maybe a bad example. But the point remains. Does the secret have to do with you in any way? Because I can get why that would make it harder to ignore. I'd have trouble ignoring any secret! Even if it was that Bonnie's favorite Backstreet Boy was actually Howie.
So, I guess I'd try to give them a little time, whatever that means depending on who they are and all. Then I'd try to mention I wanted to talk about it sometime, without it being a whole WE NEED TO TALK situation. Never ever lead with "we need to talk." That ends poorly. And hopefully, I'd be able to talk about it with them on some kind of reasonable timescale.
