There are plenty of examples of that sort of thing from my life, too, though usually the most significant thing that sticks behind is the memory of what happened, even when time gets unwritten. When I was in a time loop, eventually I got out of it for about six months and then I was taken back to the day I got out of the time loop and started over, but I still remember those six months that never happened. And then there was the time my brother went back in time and ended up convincing our dad to buy the car that we grew up driving around in. One time an angel stopped the Titanic from sinking to use the power of all those souls that then hadn't died, and it changed the world in a lot of different ways-- and then he changed it back, but Dean and I remembered the way things had been, even though Bobby didn't.
And there's definitely a theme about writing stories in my world. God wrote books about me and Dean under the guise of being a prophet of the lord, apparently. When Metatron took over heaven. he started writing stories too. Though what we found out with both God and Metatron is that a determined human or three can change the way the story goes-- although, based on the way the show made it seem, God intended us to do that anyway.
