Since Helena's arrival, she had made connections with a number of local booksellers, mostly from her and Myka's shared love of books but also so Helena could do a little promoting and discussion of her own. She hadn't been able to back when they were published, and few in this world recognized her as having a legitimate claim to her own identity. But with the ones who had embraced her, she was happy to give them some of her time and signatures... with compensation when it was enough of them. She had to make a living, after all.
She'd developed a good relationship with the bookstore near the tower, so she favored them when she was looking to buy something. On her Saturday visit, she saw someone who looked vaguely familiar to her, perhaps from the lift or the lobby at the tower? Out of curiosity, she looked to see what books had the other woman's interest.
