"Everything is a good look for me." Jim said, stretching his legs out until the slide beneath the edge of of Pike's bed and then bending his knees to drag his chair a little closer. He leaned forward and put his hand on the mattress first before reaching over and placing it on Chris' wrist. "Anyway, I'm glad you're -- you're already looking better."
He knew that they were both aware that at least some of Kirk's panic and concern over Chris' injuries had to do with the fact that Kirk had already been there to watch him die once. That it wasn't something he was even so much as equipped with having to deal with again probably went without saying.
