RP Thread; Wesley Wyndam-Pryce & Lilah Morgan
Who: Wesley Wyndam-Pryce & Lilah Morgan
When: 12 December after this exchange (slightly backdated).
Where: Lilah's flat
What: Wesley once again brings Lilah soup.
Rating: TBD
Status: IN PROCESS.
Wesley balanced the bag with the soup on one arm as he reached for the handle of Lilah’s apartment. The door was unlocked as it had been before, and so he pushed it open, reaching for the bag once again as he finished with the handle and using his shoulder to push the door the rest of the way. He balanced the soup, the other bag with calamine lotion – in case she needed more – and still another with a bottle of additional alcohol just in case. Wesley couldn’t have said precisely what had happened in the past week, but it seemed that perhaps the two of them might be on the verge of something less antagonistic. Whether it would last when Lilah felt better he couldn’t say, but for the moment he was appreciating the ability to speak to her without it turning into the old games of attempting to one-up the other. Well, mostly he was enjoying that – the truth was that he had always appreciated Lilah’s ability to keep him on his toes even though the way they’d both done that to each other initially had not been precisely the kindest. Then again, that hadn’t been the point at the time. Now though – things here were different and Wesley couldn’t imagine that Lilah had many friends, and whatever they’d been through before, or hadn’t been through yet, he fully intended on doing better here than he might have done at home. Having become acquainted enough with their futures to see what would be had somehow made him recognize that whatever flaws he’d made with Lilah, he had cared a bit. He did care a bit, if he were honest. He might be with Fred here, but he still cared about what happened to Lilah – and if she’d accept that perhaps they could forge something new here. His thoughts were shaken off as he pushed the door shut and turned his attention to the living area. “Lilah?” He called softly as he entered just in case she would be asleep. |
