Chloe cracked another smile and laughed softly before taking another drink. "Precisely, so there's no question as to whether we're real or not," she insisted defiantly, and probably a little stubbornly as well. "Christ, how does anyone keep track of all that in this place," Chloe commented with a shake of her head. "Do they know you or are they clueless? I couldn't imagine my friends showing up and having no clue who I was. It'd be a little cruel, in a way," she said, taking a pretzel for herself, "to have people you know show up but they don't actually know you.." Ugh, and now Chloe was worried about the possibility.
"It's alright, dear, I get it," she assured the younger girl quietly. Chloe considered Rikku's concern -- about leaving out the best parts. For as much as Chloe wanted to get through the game to see what happened to them all in Tibet, she wondered how much wouldn't be shown. The job had taken months. "Maybe it's better that way?" the treasure hunter offered, looking to the girl hopefully. "Things that aren't shown, they're still private memories, your memories and yours alone."
It shouldn't have been difficult but Chloe had to actually pause and count on her fingers mentally just how long it had been since she had arrived. "The twenty-eighth of December," she answered. "You've got a good month on me basically," Chloe smirked. "Have you found a job or anything yet or decided what you're going to do here?"
