Try as she might, Chloe just couldn't disregard all the positive energy coming from Rikku. Not that she was easily impressionable but it was bloody contagious and she was having a hard time remaining frustrated. " Less crazy, I like that," she chuckled quietly. And she was exactly right. Chloe watched the girl jump to her feet and bound over to the fridge to grab snacks. It was unexpected but a sweet gesture. "Thank you," she told the girl, actually meaning it as she took the soda and cracked the top tab open. Junk food wasn't typically her thing but this was vacation, after all.
"Right?" she agreed, having thought everything Rikku had just said. "We've got to be us though," Chloe insisted, taking the bag of pretzels and opening it to offer some to Rikku first. "I have memories and scars from childhood that aren't in any Uncharted game or comic book." The treasure hunter made a face and took a swig of soda. If she had her own past then clearly that meant she had lived her own life, right? She felt real -- and her world was a lot easier to believe than this one where vampires and aliens existed. "I don't blame you for not trying it yet. It's hard," she admitted of playing their video games. "As much as I love the idea of controlling Nate... I'm having a hell of a hard time seeing him get hurt. Even in the game." Chloe looked at Rikku and smiled somewhat sadly. "I guess since we don't see it as a game at all, given we lived it, it's just too bizarre to play right now... I do wish he was here though, that way I would know he's alright." Even though there was a third game, he could have still been seriously injured. Nathan Drake was too stubborn to ever stop. "Bloody idiot," she muttered softly in reference to Nate.
Chloe took in a deep breath, brushing off the brief vulnerability that had gotten the best of her. "So how long have you been here?"
