FILTERED TO SYDNEY BRISTOW:

Hey, so, we've never actually met, but Has-No-Trouble-Bothering-Anyone-and-Everyone is my middle name. I think you posted a while back about wanting to teach English?

Oh, and it's Peter. Me, that is. I'm Peter.

Right, I've seen you around the network. And yes, I recently got my Masters in English Lit and I'd hoped to put it to more productive use but there isn't really enough need here.

Yeah, I hear you on that. We've got a lot of willing teachers, which is great...!

It just doesn't really fill a day's schedule, aaaand doesn't help when you don't have the kind of day job that pays the bills. I mean, data plans are murder. Ever try streaming episodes of Dog Cops to pass the time? Eurrrgh, hits me in the pockets every time.

Anyway, I figured you were in a place like me. My resume really only applies to an alternate reality version of NYC, and I don't think they worked out the kinks in transdimensional calls to check on my references.

Okay, this is getting long. Lemme just ask: how willing are you to take on a class in a tough neighborhood?

I can't say I've ever watched Dog Cops, but the more free time I have, the more concerned I am that I'll cave and watch my own show. I'd rather avoid that.

As for teaching in a tough neighborhood, I'd have no problem with that. To be honest, it's probably right up my alley.

Luckily, I don't have a show or anything to watch or read. All the downward spiraling in my life is new and exciting! No, but I get you. This place is seriously one big confidentiality breach failboat.

Okay, here's the deal. It struck me that my first teaching gig was at a school that sincerely needed the help. They weren't about to be fussy about the lack of my license if I could teach the material and not end up gagged in a closet while the class mutinies and someone is forced to eat a pack of colored chalk. I did a little digging, and there's a school up around Harlem that really needs a hand. Can't guarantee either of us will walk away with a job, but I figured I'd let you know.

Agreed. I don't really need a show to tell me my life is one big mess.

I appreciate the heads up. I'm pretty sure I could avoid ending up gagged in a closet. I'd have to drag Sark along as a "teacher's aide" or something equally ridiculous, but then they'd be welcome to gag him. Hell, I'd probably pay them for saving me the trouble.

Preach it, sister.

But, hey, hope it works out for you. And Sark, I guess?

Thanks. I'll check it out tomorrow. Good luck to you, too.
