Okay, so, that was a very painful experience. I don't know that living in this tower is going to be as good as living in my apartment... and I was supposed to go to Yale. My life is over now.

I don't think it's so much that they 'brought' us here. My understanding is that it's the blue cube tesseract thing and that they don't really control it per-say, they more try to contain it? So technically they own the thing that brought you here, but they didn't tell it to do so? It's all a little unclear though.
