No, I don't suppose that was weighing too heavily upon his conscience. I've done some terrible things in my life, Ava, but I will not be that man anymore. I was beginning to think it was in my blood, and I couldn't escape it - but just as that thought started to take hold of me, we came here. And I feel like I have truly been redeemed. I don't know why you're here, but I know that in another lifetime I was about to lead you into some dark things. I'm glad that's no longer our future.

	I know it to be a fact that I am better here than I was there, but I'm feeling a pull from right behind my gut that I just can't explain. When I was a kid I dreamed about life outside but now I'm there and it feels like a piece of me's just missing. You can? Maybe I should ask her.
