Who: Chloe Sullivan and Oliver Queen
When: Monday Night
Where: 15th Floor Corridor
What: Bumping into each other
Rating: Low - possible angst and language
Since her arrival, Chloe had been managing to keep to herself and observe. It was what she was used to, and considering she was 100% convinced by now that this was indeed an alternate universe, she knew she had a lot to learn about it before she could be even slightly comfortable with being there. The obvious place to start had been this SHIELD organization, she wasn't sure she liked the sound of it, but she didn't know nearly enough yet to decide if she should act with or against them. For now, she would take the housing and the allowance that came with it, until she could stand on her own again. Even though she had been focusing all of her energy on figuring this place out, she couldn't help the random thoughts that popped into her head every now and then. Thoughts of her own world, of whether or not Clark Luthor was finally dead, of her cousin and of course, of Oliver. Everything that had happened seconds before she had been pulled through that portal still felt surreal and between that and the fact that a version of him was here and alive made it harder for her to wrap her head around the fact that her Oliver was gone. Even if she somehow managed to get back to her own Earth, he wouldn't be there. And because she wanted to make things worse on herself, she knew she had to face the Oliver from this place sooner or later. After their initial conversation, she had decided on later, but as she saw him getting out of his room, just down the hall from her own, sooner sounded like a better idea. She knew he wasn't anything like her version of him, the fact that his hair was blond instead of dark brown like she was used to made that very clear, but still, it was better than nothing. She watched as he locked his room's door, then took a couple of steps toward him but remained silent, waiting to see if he would notice her at all. |
