WHO: Han Solo, Leia Organa
WHEN: Backdated a bit - evening of July 20
WHERE: Sam's Bar & Grill
WHAT: The dynamic duo reunite -- but could it be more awkward?
RATING: I assume pretty tame, but I can't make promises for Han's smuggler mouth
STATUS: Incomplete
Of all the things that had been really strange and off-putting since Han Solo landed on this world, perhaps the strangest of all was that Leia wanted to meet him in a bar. Even the Leia he was most familiar with - the Leia he had left behind under Lando's sliming care on Bespin - didn't seem like the type of girl who would want to meet her smuggler suitor in a seedy bar. It seemed even more odd that this Leia - the Leia he hadn't seen in years, the Leia of his past, the girl who didn't consider him her smuggler suitor at all, of course not - had suggested this place.
But Han had no room to complain. If anything, he felt much more comfortable in this atmosphere than he would've felt in what was sure to be the regal and stuffy apartment of Her Worshipfulness Princess Leia. Han grimaced in his seat, where he sat with his arms crossed, watching the entrance to the bar as if it were about to shapeshift before his eyes; it was just his luck, wasn't it? The girl didn't even remember she loved him. When had his luck with the ladies begun to dry up? It wasn't fair!
When he saw the familiar form appear in the threshold of the bar, he waved her over coolly. It didn't matter what "time period" she was from; it was impossible to think her anything but stunning, glowing. Beautiful. Still, he wasn't going to give her the satisfaction of standing to greet her. Of course, Han knew it wasn't her fault that she didn't remember the future she hadn't live yet. But who else was he going to blame?
"Looking good as ever, Princess. This world treating you alright?"
