With everything that had been going on, Laura had to call in to work and explain that she actually couldn't make it in with the tower on Lockdown - the school was thankfully quite understanding and promised to keep the children on track with her lessons plans when they found a teacher to fill in. She missed her children and while she knew she could get out of the tower that it would be a pain to get back in, something she had realised on the first day of lock down. She had spent the majority of her time reading but what she really needed was fresh hair. Finally she gave up and went to one of the balconies on the thirteenth floor where she claimed a spot for her own. Having grabbed some paper and pencils on the way up, she leant against the wall and began to sketch the sunset. After first arriving here she had put her artwork to the side with everything else that had been going on but now she was fully settled in this place she was finding that she was taking it up again. It had been awkward, at least for her when Obi-Wan had woken during the night she had stayed there and found her drawing in his living room. Until then no one had actually known that she drew, not even Bill or her sisters which said a lot. She had always wanted to be an artist but she thought she wasn't all that good at it which was why no one had seen them. Obi-Wan had told her that he loved it which was one reason she had drawn Coruscant for him - she knew him well enough that he wouldn't have told her that if he didn't truly mean it. That had meant a lot to her but it was still her private hobby that she didn't want too many people knowing about. |
