Siri hadn't waited. Within minutes of Obi-Wan responding to her request for company up on the Tower's outdoor patio, she emerged onto the breezy enclave herself, moving swiftly and silently in hopes that if there were residents outside enjoying the firework display over the river - or what they could see of it from there, of course - she wouldn't be disturbing them. It didn't take her long to find a secluded part of the patio, and with a heaving sort of sigh, she plopped down onto the concrete below her, crossing her legs deftly.
Although this was her normal meditative position, Siri had no concrete plans to meditate. The city was alive and buzzing with simultaneous celebration and panic. It had been only hours since the bombing across the country, and the energy was alight. Far too alight to get much concentration, even in the most quiet place she'd yet found. Instead, she looked out over the skyline intensely, marveling at how certain views seemed so familiar to Coruscant. And oh, how she longed to be home on Coruscant. At least in the Republic, the Jedi had a purpose, a duty to serve the good of the galaxy. Here, it felt like she was powerless to the struggle of others. And quite frankly, it was driving her mad. Quite frankly, Siri very strongly disliked being so left in the dark and unable to act.
She felt Obi-Wan's presence before she heard him approach, and she didn't turn to meet him as he crossed the patio toward her. Instead, she merely waited, knowing that first he would hesitate quietly for a moment, but then he was seat himself beside her. She had invited him merely for his company and companionship, of course, but also…although she'd never admit it, she very much appreciated Obi-Wan's (usually unasked for) advice and logic. And Siri felt she could definitely use it right now.
