Pete's eyes flickered down from where they rested on the ceiling to where his unbelievably gorgeous girlfriend went strolling through the door like it was just thin air. He was dreading something that had yet to come to light but simply seeing her, even if for him it had only been hours, was enough to make him throw a lopsided grin her way.
Until he noticed that was something was off and not just that something being her questioning him, but that she looked somewhat different. Not really too changed just.. different. He couldn't quite put his finger on it until she got close enough for him to squint up at her.
Oh.
Kitty was older.
"He wouldn't have been the first that got this close," he turned his hand over, long fingers skimming up her wrist as naturally as breathing air.
"Well. A bloody mouthful is what they told me. Blah blah blah, tesseract, blah blah blah, from another kind of Earth, blah blah blah, people you know may be here, whatever. I knew you was here 'cos they told me, but they didn't tell me much else 'side that I'm to remain here until cleared by a doctor. But surely you can do something about that, eh?"
