She didn't mind that he had over prepared. It was comforting and very much a Giles move. She smiled softly at him. "Thank you, for the flowers. For everything." she was being honest and genuine, her smile warm and eyes sparkling.
Her fingers twitched at his touch, almost wanting to move and return the touch but she didn't - mostly because he withdrew before she could make up her mind. Theirs was a romance of slow - and quick decisive actions rarely had a place there. Well had. Jenny was fantastic at finding trouble, asking those questions and being where she shouldn't be. It was half of her talent - but she didn't dance around things that upset her. If she wanted to know, she would find out. One way or another.
"Wow. Yeah. Okay time difference there." she said as she sunk to lean on the counter some more. She was somewhat surprised to not find a tea kettle among the things scattered on her counter, but the surprise was soothed when a bottle of chilled scotch emerged from the pile. It would do.
"I'm still really sorry about that whole mess, I really had no idea what was going to happen." she frowned as she reached for the glass.
