You make it sound like your morality is protecting me from being devoured in my bed.
But I understand what you're saying. I understand how initially platonic friendship can breed romantic and sexual feelings over time. And I feel like it would be a damned shame to force such a cherished friendship into an artificial box for the sake of conforming to social expectations. If and when you choose to romantically pursue or sleep with Joan, the choice should belong to the two of you alone.
As flattering it is to be coveted in a sexual manner, I much prefer being valued as your friend. That's of the greatest importance to me. I'm honored that you trust me to some degree.
I have a general sense of Moriarty's deception, but would it be too intrusive of me to ask how Trevor deceived you?
