Bucky and I are headed down to DC today, for the Memorial Day festivities there. We'll be at the World War II Memorial in a couple hours, and Arlington National Cemetery after that. We should be able to catch some of the parade before we have to come back to New York for the game tonight. Seems like several of our old friends will be in town, and many more families of those we fought with during the war. It feels strange to say I've been looking forward to this, but it's true. These men meant a lot to me, and I'm grateful to have the chance to honor them and those we've lost.
I wanted to say something about what today means to me, but I can't seem to find the right words. I never was a writer or a good public speaker. Today is a day for remembrance and gratitude, and I hope everyone will take a moment to reflect upon what today means for our military personnel and their families.
