Network Post Filtered to ESD: Rachel Summers
Hello everyone. If you haven't met me yet, I'm Rachel Grey-Summers. I've accepted the position of co-headmistress of the Educational Services Division, and I'll be working closely with Kitty. Since we have so many comings and goings, my focus will be helping to determine new students' educational background, and to help with adjusting to joining in partway through semesters. This is to help with the class pacing so that students don't end up "behind" just because of the tesseract mismatching the point they're at with lessons.
One of my suggestions for getting students more quickly evaluated and oriented to a class was through use of my telepathy. This saves time and helps identify areas that someone may not be able to articulate out loud. However, there are a number of considerations before we do something like that:
For the students evaluations, it would only be done if they consent to it. Traditional talking and pen-and-paper evaluations if not.
For making sure students are "up to speed," it would also be done with their consent. If they are behind the class, I will "tutor" them up to the lessons that the class is currently learning. However, it should also have the consent of the instructor for each particular class they'll be taking.
For instructors, they will need to either provide materials for me to use for the evaluations and "tutoring", consent to me "sharing" their knowledge for that, or consent to joining me and the student on the astral plane so the instructor themselves can do it.
This program won't be introduced yet. We need to know your feelings on it. Please discuss these ideas, and you can filter or privately address them with me and Kitty if you prefer.
