He was cut off as Sam turned and showed him the notification on the phone. Something within his vessel sank. He imagined it was something akin to the phrase regarding a heart sinking, but since that was a biological impossibility, Castiel wasn't going to try and make sense of any of it. Sighing, he leaned forward heavily onto his knees.
"...Do you have any alcohol?" he asked heavily.
Having no other solution to the problem at hand, he sought to do the next best thing, which was make the pain intangible. Alcohol was good for that. He doubted that whatever the boys kept in the apartment would be enough for him, but it would be enough for Sam. Perhaps that might be best, seeing as there was now nothing else they could do.
"Unless you have a better idea, I feel we should be drinking it."
