He almost laughed at the oh-so-serious expression on Tramp's face, especially when he heard the question that followed it. It reminded him of when Emily had been about five and had taken a dislike to baths. She'd given him a very similar serious look and had asked him a not dissimilar question. She'd then followed it with a series of 'logical' arguments as to why she shouldn't have to have a bath. He wondered if he'd get the same now.
"Try a warm shower," he said in an encouraging tone. "Or even a hot one. A nice hot shower and soaping yourself down is one of life's little luxuries. It feels..." He closed his eyes and smiled, remembering the first shower he'd had after escaping from prison. "...really good."
