It probably wasn't meant to be something so sweet, or something that would have her heart skipping a beat, but it worked. Saying he could carry her hair was about the same as saying she had pretty eyes. The boys here, minus the biter and that fellow who talked about everyone being murderers, were more delightful than she ever imagined.
"That's so.. so nice, thank you," she breathed, a terribly sincere look given to him when she tilted her chin up. Rapunzel didn't understand that he might have been trying to hard, or that anything he said was all for the possibility of gaining something from her she wasn't going to be willing to give up. All that she knew was he was smiling a lot, had opened a door for her, even offered to carry her hair and so far only Pip Bernadotte had rivaled in such chivalry in this world.
"No one loves you here?" she assumed no one was as rich as they were, that made sense, but to say no one loved him sort of made her feel sad for him. "I'm sure plenty of people do and you just don't know it."
