There was that brief time when Tobias pretended to be a British nanny, and he got surprisingly good at cooking British breakfast staples, but other than that anything home cooked tended to end in complete disaster.
"Let me know if you ever need help carrying your hair, by the way, just let me know, I'm fine with carrying hair." He smiled and gave her a wink, though he wasn't quite sure how that was a flattering statement. It was just a default motion at this point. "Yeah a cab is a taxi. I think some even call them taxi cabs? Whatever, point is, it'll get us to the dock." He opened the door for her before running around to the other side to slide in next to her. He explained to the driver where they were going and just like that, they were off.
He turned towards her and thought for a moment of how to answer her question. "I guess my world and this one are pretty close, except in my world I'm rich and everyone loves me." Neither one of those things was strictly true, but he liked the sound of that.
"It's closer than yours though, I can tell that right off. No carts and horses except in Central Park."
