She failed to understand what would be so tasty about that but it would be rude to express her concern, right? Besides, maybe it was tasty and she wouldn't know because it was banned and she'd never be able to try them! Ham water, however, sounded fairly odd and not at all appetizing. Rapunzel tried not to make a face that betrayed her thoughts, but her nose did scrunch the smallest bit at the very thought of the bland foods mentioned. She didn't even bother asking about martinis.
"Some people aren't meant to be good at cooking," she said diplomatically. "And some are, that's just the way it is, I guess. But it isn't very hard to learn. I taught myself, from a book. Several books, really... and no, I've got it now."
The weight of it didn't even really bother her. She had already been questioned as to how she managed to lug around all that hair and all Rapunzel could manage was a shy shrug because she certainly couldn't explain it. It just wasn't heavy to her.
"Ohhh, a taxi, they call them taxis too, right? A car! How inventive," she was genuinely impressed, and it was transferring over to him. She was impressed with something he didn't really have anything to do with but he received the grin and the light in her eyes when she felt her interest piqued. She slid in first, her hair piled beside her near the door on the opposite side, meaning she had to sit nearly hip to hip with him.
"Did you not come from a similar place? In my land, there was nothing but carts and horses."
