Before he had disappeared thanks to the Tesseract, Dorcas had thought of Oliver as one of her best friends. At least, he was getting to be. Sure, she may have developed feelings that went beyond friendship. There had been quite a bit of flirting on both sides and they'd even discussed checking out that prom together. Regardless of where things had been heading, though, it was his friendship she had missed when he was gone.
It had hurt, having her come back and not remember her at all. She knew the Tesseract did that. She knew she couldn't blame him for not knowing her and she didn't. Still, it was frustrating having to start over again.
Still, Oliver was still Oliver. That much was quickly apparent. He was the same bloke she'd found so much in common with before. That was comforting, at least. Even if they had to start all over, it was nice to have her friend back.
Dorcas bounded to the door when she heard the knock, grinning as she caught sight of the refreshments in his arms. There'd been no need to request specifics - she knew from before that they had similar tastes, though she supposed that was something that could change. It hadn't, though, and she ushered him inside, offering to take something off his hands.
"I'd hate to have to hurt you if you dropped something," she teased.
