The state of New York has a list of requirements that all adolescents should know before they leave their secondary schooling institution. SHIELD has been working with the NY education board to allow refugee children to take a test similar to the test that the state requires. It will give you the equivalent of a High School diploma, and allow you to enter college, or find moderate work in the workforce.
Maths is counting. If that's something you struggle with, I'd like to add you to my maths class. There's a handful of us, but we have a lot of fun learning. English Composition is writing skills - if you don't know how to write properly, your odds of getting hired to do anything (even if it is something at SHIELD) fall dramatically. It has nothing to do with song-writing, I assure you. Science is healing yes, but it's also more than that. If you're interested in wilderness healing, your Wilderness class might cover some part of that.
What do you want to do when you are done with your schooling?
I'm sorry you are being treated that way. Some people from this world can be quite cruel, and unwilling to put themselves in the shoes of a refugee. I know it can be difficult, not knowing how long you'll be here, but you're in the best city in America, and while you're here, the future can be anything you want it to be.
