Re: february 24. jennifer and the chestburster.
Marcus followed Jennifer's lead with his retracted denn-bok in his right hand. Mysterious abandoned planet, strangely in tact cities, dark, oppressive basement... everything about this adventure screamed 'bad idea.' Jennifer's sudden outburst only confirmed it. Immediately, Marcus pressed the button, extending his pike in both directions.
He was just opening his mouth to dispute Laura's order - Marcus had no doubt that his sister was tougher, faster, and more suited to fighting in this environment than he, but he wasn't about to abandon another family member - when Jennifer collapsed. He heard rather than saw the creature rushing off into the darkness, but scraps of old vids surfaced in his memory. Since extraterrestrial beings had become familiar trading partners and allies rather than monsters in the dark, some stories had lost in popularity, but he remembered jokes exchanged back in Earthforce about facehuggers and chestbursters. Marcus cursed, taking a fighting stance next to Laura alongside Laura. "I'll go when you do," he said quietly. "Dutch, Jenny, Fury," he called only a little louder. He'd like to stay for Jen, but that wasn't going to be an option. "I believe this is the time for a retreat."
