FILTERED TO FRIENDS*

It's funny. The first day or so all I could think about was how to get home. I know there might have to be a time where I go back but [...] I think I'd like to stay. I'm used to strange, unbelievable things back home, but being here has opened up a much wider door and I don't want to miss out.

*ooc: seriously, i wont be picky, be her friend.

It doesn't sound to me like it is a "now or never" choice (at least, not yet). You may be able to stay, or the portal may still be taking people home.

But Alucard and I are planning to stay and live out our lives here, if we can. So I am hoping it will turn into some way to ensure the portal will not steal us away. And if you stay, we will be here with you.

Yeah, it sounds like if I decide later on, there's still that option. I'm not sure if I'll change my mind later on or not, but I do want to stay.

Good. I'm glad I'll still have you and Alucard.

There are good options for building lives here. I will miss home, and I will hold out hope that perhaps when I am old there will still be an option to return through the portal to see home again -- especially if my brother does not come back. But I would be glad to spend the rest of my life here.

And it would be lovely to have you with us.

There are people that I miss, but maybe if they were able to find their way here, especially those I've lost...I will hold out hope as well.

I understand. I hope they will show up, along with my brother. It would be very nice to have all of our people here.

It would be.

That's a common experience, feeling the need to get back. It takes some time to feel the most likely reality that the time we have here is not time we are missing back home. It's something we have, by choice or not, that bubbles out from it. Within that, there is a chance for a whole life. Being here longer... it makes that food for thought, too much thought to process all at once.

I'm glad you'll be here a while. As Rhy said, we are planning on staying and will be here.

I think a big part is that here, there's a chance I'll see people that I miss from home. I know if I go back I'll still have Jonah and Sam and Sam but they could always come here as well. But those back home that are gone [...] they could be here. There's always that chance however small, and I don't to miss it.

I'm glad you two are here, and even more so that I've met the two of you.

I admit I'm curious whether we'll still end up on those cruises if the portal is more controlled.

I guess we'll find out. I would like to travel to different planets again.

Nothing against this planet, but I don't think I want to be only here forever if the choice is there.

I understand. I believe they've only been able to send people home, so it's possible we'll still take trips.

Or maybe we'll be able to decide where we want to go. It seems if you can send people to a specific place, that would be an option.

I'd like that option.

Where do you want to go?

Some moments, I'd want to go home. Some moments, not so much.

I know that feeling.

Right now, I just want to see what else is out there, and I think my best shot at finding out is to stay.

I am definitely planning to stay. Even if I am Earth bound, I think there arepossibilities at least here, which there are not at home.

How much of Earth have you seen? There are still some cool places here that I can show you.

To be honest most of what I have seen, I saw when I was attempting to rule it. I'm not certain that makes for really getting to know the place.

Well, how about I make a list and you can choose? There are some popular ones like Pompeii. It was an ancient city that was buried by a volcano and rediscovered in 1748.

Acceptable. We could even start with Pompeii if you want.
