THE MANDALORIAN:

I wanted to write you a little note letting you know that I appreciated your kindness for an extremely shaken child version of myself. You helped her — me — to feel a little less alone.
ANAKIN SKYWALKER:
I'm sorry I wasn't more understanding.

You would have done the same, but glad it helped.

[...] You remember it all?

I would have, but not everyone would.

I remember everything. Including your name. You didn't have to tell me that, you know.

I don't buy just anyone waffles. Seems pretty clear now.

I'm not asking payment. Only that you don't go using that name around other people.

Only a handful of people know my name anyway. One doesn't talk.

Let's hope that Yoda's speech pattern isn't inherent to his species.

I'll worry about that if the kid's still with me when he learns to speak, if I live that long. He's aleady older than me.

Master Yoda was almost nine hundred years when I knew him.

Better hope this kid ends up with someone who's good for the next couple hundred years.

There's plenty of species for that. I worry more about detachment because of it. Living so long to see those you care about die over and over again can weigh heavily on a person.

Mandalorians deal with detachment by not dealing with detachment.

[...] No one should have to live through memories like that twice. At least the kid enjoyed the company.
