So in case anyone didn't know. Hi. I'm Abraham Frankenstein. Is anyone here besides my mother any good with a sword? Because this reality sounds exceptionally sad otherwise.

Also someone help me bribe my sister into not glaring at me. I'm suggesting ice cream.

It's probably best not to get out of practice. My father has gone to great lengths to make sure I can defend myself.

And as someone above there said, I am sure Alucard is also quite good with a sword. I'm sure I could convince him to join us.

My dad's never been great at fighting. I've seen him...attempt it. It's very wholesome. Family quality right there. Once a cat tripped him. The one you don't want to scare in the family is mom.

Oh good. I'm excellent company if that helps. Outside of the sword fighting. Great friend material. Even if it's short-term because I'll go back to being a very small kid eventually.

Wonderful! We are both also excellent company, and not a modest one amongst the lot of us. How small of a child will you be? Perhaps we can still be friends somehow. I won't mind.

My father is a surgeon. I don't have his skill in that department in the slightest. I also cannot draw to save myself. I have let my family down. But swords. That's a different story.

Modesty is for...other people. I believe I'm about 8? Somewhere around there.

Surgery! That's quite impressive, and does involve a different kind of skill with a blade, doesn't it? I'm not much for drawing, either. I can play the piano, though.

I've never befriended an 8-year old before, aside from when I was one myself. Did you still have an interest in swords at 8? Are you allowed to use them then? Perhaps we have other interests in common. What about horseback riding? I apparently have a unicorn here, which rides much like a horse.

It does, yeah. Much more steady. I cannot do that either. But I have a winning personality.

I am allowed to use a sword. Mom's never stopped me. I've never ridden a horse. I like boats? And I'll get into plants a little more eventually.

We can continue sword practice, then. It shall be interesting with a much smaller opponent. Oh, and we have a boat as well! I don't know too much about plants, but I do like flowers.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say they are 100% proud of me always.

Awesome. I'm amazingly agile for a young person. Do you? Mom has the Pearl. She's a pirate king. It's been my entire undergrad. I'm going to casually leave myself books. I've always enjoyed figuring out the various meanings behind flowers. It's an excellent way to woo people. If sword fighting doesn't work for you.

That is a lucky thing. I cannot say the same about my own parents' pride in me, alas.

They are disappointed that I have no gift for magic, which is understandable. It is very important, in our culture. And I regularly get into trouble, on top of it.

Admittedly, there were neither sword fights nor flowers involved in my current relationship. But it is the kind of relationship that could involve either, or both, and perhaps it should.

It hasn't stopped me, either, but it affects the public opinion of me, and my ability to defend myself, which are both quite important as a prince. Especially a troublemaking one.

Yeah. I mostly trained with Mom. A little bit outside. Plus the karate after like the fourth fight I got in in a month and they decided I needed an outlet.
