Re: Wake up.
Gwen's premonition didn't go off when the alarms did. And why would it? It wasn't like she was danger or anything. Most likely.
She still cursed, bringing her hands to her face, trying to calm herself down. She was in space, that had to be it. Voices around her made it very obvious she was not the only one and yet, she found herself having difficulty calming down. What happened to her calming methods? She knew how to do this, she was doing so well on using her spider sense to get more of a sense of her environment around her.
How did you do that when alarms were going off around her all at once? And.... was that the Baby Shark theme? Who the hell?
Gwen tried to focus on one thing at a time, gribbing the sides of her seats in desperation when it didn't work. She didn't want to be here. She wanted to be back home in her apartment, and even though she knew it was futile asking the portal to send her back, she still hoped, trying to keep herself from breaking down entirely. Please send me back, please please please, I need my space. I need my dog.
As if on cue, something pushed up against her hand and hopped onto just the side of her lap and Gwen found herself letting out something that was in between a sob and a laugh. "Oh, thank fuck," she exclaimed, as she lifted both her hands to feel around Jason's furry snout before she wrapped her arms around him.
