So are cruises into space a normal thing around here?

Not that I'm really complaining, I've never been in space before, so it actually sounds pretty cool.

Want to maybe do something together while we're on the cruise? I've never been on one, so I'm not really sure what you do on one, but maybe we could make it like a family thing? If okay with that. I know your version of Dad technically isn't the same as mine, but I would really like to get to know you?

Cruises are normal. To space is one option and hasn't happened in awhile.

Generally the cruises are spent trying not to freak out and figuring what's going on while fighting off whatever annoyance decides to pop up on the way. But I'm biased and been on way too many of these.

But yeah. I'd like that. If this space cruise is anything like that last, there'll be lots of just places to hang out. Like stores and restaurants and stuff. Holodecks. I tend to like the big garden place they got, but it tends to be the only ground they have, so...

I know there's the dragon thing which implies flying and all, but how are you with heights?

So...it's not like a normal vacation, then. I guess that's a good thing to know. Though I wouldn't really know. I haven't been on a lot of vacations. My fiance and I were talking about going someplace nice for our honeymoon back home, though.

I don't mind just going somewhere and hanging out. I'd like to get to know you better. I don't know what a holodeck is, but I guess that sounds like it could be fun. And I like gardens.

Heights don't really bother me much.

We all come in with our on weird experiences, but this universe then likes to fill in the gaps of anything we might be missing.

No, not really. I mean there's some of that. Just downtime and stopovers and touristy stuff, but then there'll be attacks or something in the ship breaks or the ship decides to take over the people working on it. But I get the vacation thing. I hadn't really had one in a long time until I got here. And, wow, you've got a fiance? What're they like?

The holodeck is a room but it can make anything you want through holograms. They use it a lot in Star Trek. Which is a science fiction tv show.

Ok, that's good. I was wondering because, well, space isn't always so great for kids of Hades. At least in our world. It's just not fun.

I'm actually excited. I like experiencing new things. It kind of reminds me of home in that way.

I don't think I've ever really been on a real vacation. I've been on trips with Ben, but they were more diplomatic trips, really. Ben's actually my fiance. He's the King of Auradon, and the son of the Beast and Belle. He's amazing. He's actually the reason that I got off of the Isle of the Lost back home. He's really sweet, and believes that everyone should get a second chance. You'd probably really like him. He's honestly one of those people that gets along with mostly everyone.

That sounds really cool. I know a couple of illusion spells, which are kind of similar, but that sounds really awesome. And I need to watch more tv shows. The ones here are a lot different from the ones back home.

I've only met one other kid of Hades back home, my younger half brother, Hadie, and him and I never really talked very much. Are you going to be okay in space, though?

Diplomatic being more work even if there is some play in there. Trips aren't quite the same when you have an agenda, even if it's just a small one. And ok, Ben sounds nice, but I have to ask even if it's TMI and rude, but how furry is the situation? No judgement however it is, just with the things I'm hearing, I wouldn't be surprised, you know?

The tv shows here are similar to my world, so if you need any recommendations, I can help. A bit. And we can hit up the holodeck when we get on the ship.

Hadie? Oh... that poor kid... I don't have much of a choice, but I'll be as ok as I can be. Anakin taught me some meditation techniques to help last time we were up and at least this isn't a surprise. Not looking forward to it, but at least I know what to expect.

Yeah. Adjusting to diplomatic work when I first started dating Ben was a bit of a big step for me. I got curry all over me when we went to visit Aladdin and Jasmine. Totally embarrassing, especially since it ended up being televised. And it's not too rude. Aside from getting transformed into a more beastly version of himself once, he's pretty normal. He ended up with a beard, but he shaved it. Honestly, I wish he'd kept it. It looked good on him.

I wouldn't mind that. We can binge something sometime.

Yeah. Some of our parents weren't the best with names. My full name is Maleficent Bertha. Gaston literally named his first two sons Gaston Jr and Gaston The Third before deciding to change it up for his youngest son, Gil.

Ah, that type of diplomacy too. Even more of a not really enjoying yourself because of the whole keeping up appearances. Especially when being watched.

And um, so, also with questions. Because fiance and all. Who proposed to who?

We can definitely do that. I'm a master at binge-ing. Most of what Anakin knows about pirates is me making him watch a bunch of movies. Plus fighting them for real which really soured all of that, but there were the movies first.

I don't know who to feel worse for. Gaston 2.0 and Gaston 3.0 or out of place Gil. Also someone actually had his babies? Or is it more like his ego gets big enough and just buds off?

Yeah. I mean all of them suck. That one I thought was going to end in dying. Some people did die. I was kind of trying to avoid Death 2.0. Not that the last one stuck, but that took preparation.

I'm so sorry to hear that. That definitely taints the experience. I'm trying to look forward to it, but from what I heard, it's kinda hard to do that when you're facing life threatening things on what's supposed to be a vacation.

We always are. The last ship mind controlled us and now I have a metal hand. Which, for a son of Hephaestus is just one of those things, I guess. I can feel the way my hand works all the time now, which is weird, but sometimes I can ignore it. I mean, our lives are basically always one thing after another, but...yeah.

Given that I'm not sure how big the ship is going to be, I doubt I'll be able to go into dragon form if something happens, too.

...Granted, going into dragon form might not be the best thing even if it is big enough. I wouldn't want to accidentally set a hole in the ship or something.

Yeah. Probably not. You can turn into a dragon, though? I have a dragon, but he's made of metal. He can turn into a suitcase, though.

Huh. Yeah. My mom was a mechanic. Dad maybe could turn into other things, but I didn't get that. I like him well enough, but Festus has been the best so it's hard to not like him.

My mom is Maleficent. I didn't think I'd be able to turn into a dragon, but it just kind of triggered one day. It definitely comes in handy. My dad is Hades. He can turn into things, but he prefers to just set his hair on fire and intimidate people that way.

Did you build Festus yourself?

Oh. Huh. Awkward Oh. Lol. Disney Hades, then. Hades doesn't like me much. Since I was supposed to die and I did and then I made sure I undied pretty much immediately.

Um. Not exactly? Someone built him, then he was just a head, then I rebuilt his body, so in that respect, yes. Then I got here and he was just a head again and it took months to rebuild him...AGAIN. But the suitcase thing was probably from when I got more memories.

Yeah, he's not too fond of people dying and then undying so they don't end up in the Underworld.
