[Voice to Text]

Sometimes a random song pops into your head, and you just have to go with it. Today, mine is Allen Town by Billy Joel.

[Private to Pokemon Center People]
By any chance, do you have pokemon that's up for adoption?

Well, that's a brilliant choice!

One of the great songs by Billy Joel that you don't hear any more. That and Uptown Girl.

Hah! Do love a good Joel tune. Piano man is a classic! Did see one of his concerts. Stellar!

I can't say I've ever been to one. What's it like?

Oh, it's something else! All that sound, the music, the energy... Quite difficult to top it in terms of human-like experiences!

I missed out. He's probably too old to tour any more. I've only been to a couple of big stadium concerts, R E M in 1995. My friend Foggy got tickets and we drove to Boston.

Good! I'm not alone. I often think that the good old tunes are being pushed under the carpet by new songs and bands with strange names and autotuning.

All Earth music is ancient to me. If things get pushed under the carpet in a few decades, imagine millennia.

Breq has been enjoying learning all this music, but I'm a little more picky than she is.

Honestly? I can't even imagine that. What does the music of the future. My future. Sound like?

It varies a lot. Humanity is on a lot of different planets in my time. Massively different cultures.

But Breq and Station have got a collection they'd probably be willing to share.

You're welcome. I'll have to check with Breq; it won't be the same if she's not there to talk music with you. It's just not my area of expertise, or my music collection.

For some reason, Breq never struck me as a somebody who might have a music collection.

[info]saint_matthew

My powers only do so much for me. One thing, for example, is that I have no way to differentiate between colors. When I send my clothes out to be cleaned, there's this one employee who has been helping me out by putting matching outfits together for me, but she's leaving the job in a week. Back home, it was Foggy who did it for me, and when she was here, it was Elektra.

So you're looking for someone else to help you with that? How often would that be needed?

I'm not any kind of expert in Earth fashion, just so you know.

Just once a week. All it is is to choose which color shirt goes best with which suit or trousers. Don't feel obligated.

Okay. Good to know. If I wanted a pokemon to bond with me? What's the procedure. I used to have a jangmo-o who I caught when we went to Alola. But when I disappeared, he did too. Now my apartment feels a bit. Empty.

Maybe he was just trying to expand his cave.

idk tho cause I don't keep dragons cause they're kind of scary.
I'm a fairy trainer.

Maybe? I felt more like he just liked butting his head against things. I had bruises on my leg to show for it. He wasn't very scary to me. What's the biggest difference between dragons and fairies?
