WHO: The EPS Drama Class & YOU(?)
WHEN: December 6th, 6pm (I fell asleep, whoops)
WHERE: Ellie Phimister School
WHAT: The One Act production of Furry Tails with a Twist

Follow the adventures of Sam and Alex, two bumbling actors trying desperately to present a few of the world's most beloved fairy tales. Unfortunately, their script becomes seriously scrambled and they perform "Goldisocks and the Three Wolves," "The Three Billy Trolls Gruff," and "The Three Little Bears," who end up battling the Big Bad Billy Goat to delay the decimation of their domiciles. In addition to entertaining with humor, slapstick and charm, Sam and Alex also guide the audience through the creative world of story structure, writing vocabulary and theatrical staging. It takes the whole audience to set the stories straight for Sam and Alex. In the end, both the actors and the audience have learned creative tale telling through these furry tails … er … fairy tales.

Tonight is the EPS one act production of Furry Tails with a Twist. This production is directed by Megan Gwynn. It stars Sabrina Spellman as Alex and Tandy Bowmen as Sam.

CAST & CREW

How have you felt leading up to the production? Did you learn a lot about how to put you a show independently? How did your performance go if you were acting? How was your direction leading up to the performance if you directed?

Sabrina had a lot of fun with this one, especially since there was the opportunity to try and draw the audience into helping out with the play. If people she knew showed up for this then she would have definitely attempted to pull them into the fun.

Pixie feels like she's got the hang of the being actual director thing now. Being stage manager for so many other productions definitely helped her with knowing what worked and what doesn't with the stage and actors.

Tandy is less nervous ahead of time than she used to be, though this time it's only her and one other person on the stage. She didn't miss any lines and enjoyed her part, throwing her all into it and also working to draw the audience members in. Her sense of comedic timing has definitely improved since Cinderella, too.

Did you come to support a friend, child or the students in general? Did you participate in helping the narrative get put back together? What did you think of the play?

Eliot is in the audience. He's been watching the development of the show from the beginning and pretty much has his grades in mind for all three of the students participation over the semester. He's vastly proud of their ability to handle losing a cast member midway through and how it feels seamless regardless. He's got flowers for each of them and he'll congratulate all three girls once the play is over.

Albus came as a staff member to support the students. He'd have brought Helena as well, who looked rather sullen still, but she ultimately seemed to have a good time once she started paying attention to the story. If Clara came with them, I'm sure he sat with her in the audience.

I'll be back with others.

Zelda and Warren are safe, but Sabrina is going to try to draw Viktor into the play.

Its cool! He doesn't need to. He just has to help them fix the stories. I feel there should be a Baba Yaga one just for him

Betsy, Clara, and Kitty would have come for sure. Gotta help support the students, esp since Pixie is Betsy's. ;)

She's good for some self deprecation and helping out with that. She'd try to make it funny and not RUSH to fix it, cause that defeats the purpose, yeah? ;)

I forgot! MJ came to support Sabrina! She definitely told Sabrina ahead of time not to involve her because she will leave. :D

But she was there and even sat in the middle. Not the back so she could escape quickly.
