I'll be in Indonesia for the beginning of next month. Anyone have any suggestions for sights to see or food to try?

You have plans this weekend.

Do I get to know what they are?

No.

Bring Natasha, she may enjoy this as well.

I'll see if she's free this one.

I hope she will be. Ever since coming back here, I find she's more often at the Bureau than at home.

She's got a habit of wanting to keep busy.

I can understand that desire, but is this really benefiting her? I find that variety is the spice of life.

Stepping back isn't something she does well.

I'm noticing. Hopefully, this weekend will be a step in a more relaxed direction.

Can't do this one. She's covering for Peggy taking off one finally too.

I'm sorry to hear that. I'll readjust our plans. Feel like showing me around New York?

I must properly plot my stops at food stalls, my general.

The hotel has a lounge. You can make friends.

I've rarely been accused of complexity.

T'Challa
We are staying at the same hotel as many others assumed to be in Bitung for auction.

There is something to be said for maintaining a visible presence beforehand.

What do they say now? Sounds fake, but okay.

You'll be joining me in the lounge then, yes?

To my face.

T'Challa

Of course.

Do we have a finalized team for this mission?

Not yet, but I expect it will be us and perhaps Nakia. I haven't heard back from Falke, so I take it to mean he won't be joining us. Margo may have a conflict with her teaching, but I will verify with her.

These criminals will think you a very popular man.

Additionally, I did take the liberty, while you were gone to speak with the Resettlement Bureau, specifically Natasha, to see if there may be a way we could circumvent air travel utilising documentation from the Resettlement Bureau and teleporters. If not for ourselves, at least for Falke on these missions where some degree of legitimacy is necessary.

It sounds as though it may be too complex to be practical--false private flight manifests and arriving before customs. Though I do think that leaves the matter of whether sea port manifests might be more readily forged.

Does that fit into the cover story you've worked up for us?

Is there enough time for you to research into the sea ports idea? I can assist as needed if you need another pair of eyes on this.

If not, we may just have to risk it this time and hope that Bast is on our side.

I doubt it would raise too many eyebrows. But worst case scenario, there are many positions in an entourage, my king.

I believe for Indonesia we would have enough time if he wished to assist in this matter. We may need the Bureau if we look to less corrupt nations. but I think it should just be a bribe to the Quartermaster, no?

But you and I have run missions like this in our sleep. I am not terribly worried. Bast protects us, and Bast protects the animals.

As you've said, we've done missions like this in our sleep. I have faith your covers for us will hold.

Prepare the appropriate bribe, I will reach out to him and Margo for confirmation.

Skip the beaches and nightclubs, the best reason to go to Bali is Ubud where they have the Sacred Monkey Forest and Padangtegal. The Gilis are better for beaches, they're much more relaxed and you can visit turtle sanctuaries while you're there. The volcanoes around Bandung if you don't mind hiking but the city itself is amazing as well. You should definitely eat at Kampung Daun if you go there. The other city I loved was Yogyakarta for the culture and arts, and from there it's not far to the Borobudur or Kaliurang for the Ullen Sentalu Museum.

I didn't get so much time around there but I know it's one of the best places to see the wildlife, especially underwater. The place I really want to visit around there is Tana Toraja, but that's a lot further south and we're passing out of the best time for it.

Mostly the usual travel advice for Indonesia - carry your own toilet paper, don't expect to be able to buy tampons or sunscreen, always haggle, book hotels in advance, watch out for mosquitoes, and don't let your credit card out of sight while paying for things.
