[Family & friends of Harry Potter, but not Harry]

I figured we might as well all discuss what we're doing for Harry's birthday since it wouldn't really do to plan things and hope everyone else isn't planning something at the same time.

Now, he's never really had a party so much considering things being the way they were, so I'd like to do something with a cake. Lily, would you like to help me make the cake? If anyone else would like to help with the food, I have a list of things I already know he likes, so we can work with that. I'm not sure the party should be an 'everyone arrives and there's a party' thing. Just something with friends and family.

Remus, I think we can manage to set something up in the backyard. If anyone has any suggestions, I suppose it has been a while since I've thrown a birthday party for a teenager or any other aged child.

We can set up something in the backyard for certain. Is crate paper and banners still appropriate or exciting for a teenager? We could do that? And the party supply store has all sorts of colors. Would he want Gryffindor colors?

I'm not entirely certain, but I don't think he'll mind all things considered. I know his favourite colours. We'll figure it out. Dudley just wants everyone to know he wants to help cause he's big enough.

I don't think so, either. And if you can tell me what colors to look for, we can pick up supplies.

Of course Dudley can help. He could come with me to pick out supplies?

Well, he was raised in part by Sirius, so I think you can assume what colours those would have been.

I think he would like that very much.

Of course, and there's plenty of people who'd like to chip in for him. Are we doing this on his actual birthday? I usually work Tuesdays, but I could either ask Angelina to cover me or maybe just close for the afternoon. I think people will understand.

Why don't you get together with James and see what he has in mind. I don't figure it has to be anything overly fancy. Burgers and hot dogs should be fine.
