We can't change the past. Which by any objective rubric has sucked for us. And what exactly suggests if gets any better? Not walking is so far the only difference I can see between now and future Phoenix host Quentin Quire.

And even then. It likes a fixer upper. I mean how else would you explain why it keeps going back to Grey?

Although you know. Funny story. I actually had a Sentinel head here. I was gonna make a grill or a throne or something out of it. You have decidedly no chill over those things.

It might not, it might. We never seem to get a long term peaceful solution. If we're not fighting the humans, we're fighting the Shi'ar, or the Avengers.

I've been a Phoenix host, and the god like powers that unfold before you really do make things seem so small and insignificant. And you think you can change it all, fix it. But ultimately... it's not fixable. Whatever happens, happens. Hank tried to control things and that unravelled. Scott tried to save us all and it almost destroyed us. You're not the only one worried about what's coming next.

Sentinel heads are not toys Quentin.

Yeah and like, I've interacted with it before. It did me a solid getting out of Professor McCoy's lab and you know, with Sophie for all the good that did. But like, idk. I don't think we'd be a good team up. I already want to burn society to the ground. Imagine if I could. I mean that'd be cool. But I probably shouldn't destroy the world.

I know they're not toys. It was definitely more of an art piece.

Peace would be something nice for the little ones to grow up in. Growing up at all is a luxury for some of them.

I don't think anyone is properly suited for the Phoenix, even Hope doesn't seem right for it. I doubt there's anything to be done though, it's a cosmic force, it feeds on life and death. There has to be one for the other. You probably shouldn't, since we live on it. It's hard to do that on a destroyed world.

We're also not having a Sentinel head for a lawn ornament, Q.
