So, a trickster god told me that I should get in touch with you. And normally that's a hard pass for me, but my brother seems to think the world of that trickster god. I hear you need a nanny? I can do a solid Mrs. Doubtfire impression, but my resume didn't come through the portal.

I'm not worried about your resume. You have children, you know how they can be. You have or had powers, so you understand children with powers can be a double handful.

Still interested?

Oh, yeah. One time May shoved a kidney bean up her nose, and without having to call her mother once I got that thing out. Kids are fun, right?

I'm still interested. Maybe give it a trial run?

That'd be Conner for you. Anything that gets him attention, and he will do it.

Sounds great. I'm running late this morning, so if you want to try today and the rest of the week, I'm game.

May is more about challenging common practices right now, I think. She's going to be right up there with the person who decided putting ketchup on eggs is a good idea. The other night she decided that noodles in OJ was a thing. TBH, it isn't NOT a thing, and it got her to eat dinner. Everyone's happy.

Today? Oh, okay. Right now?

That is utterly disgusting, but that's kids for you sometimes. How old is she?

Why not? No time like the present.

Four, getting close to five. You know, the age where they realize they have some veto power with dinner choices. But they also realize that dinner can't be chicken nuggets every night, which is good.

When you put it like that...

Give me a couple to get my two ready to roll?

Close enough in age then. I have four children and one zephyr. The zephyr will be the least amount of trouble, and you will never see him unless he picks something up.

Take your time.
