She stilled when he said that, with her back straightening up against the door frame. She was trying to say that she could see where her errors were. It wasn't a decision she was meant to make alone or for the others, but it didn't mean she was wrong.
'That's you.'
She said nothing else, just holding the phone in the palm of her hand, staring down at it as he continued to speak. She caught some of what he was saying. She hadn't wanted him to lose all the experiences he had up until that point. She didn't want him to be anything but who he was. He was supposed to remember for the both of them, and yet she was the only one who remembered now. She pulled in a breath.
She'd been the one to say that maybe they shouldn't bring magic back because of his Father. And here he was, more or less saying it was her fault they'd not find a solution to that, when she'd had a solution. She shut her eyes and swallowed.
