Hello. You next Bad Person Lesson is as follows:

Panicking, vaguebooking and posting the same confused nonsense over and over again, when someone has clearly already posted the same confused nonsense, is bad. It doesn't resolve anything and it makes it more difficult to post useful information to the network.

Good job, everyone!

Or, I suppose, you could just make one post about an ongoing issue and invite everyone affected by said issue to comment and share information. But I honestly don't expect that much from you.

It should also go without saying but posting repeated pictures of your pokemon is the moral equivelant to that one friend on facebook posting about their 2 week anniversary with their new boyfriend, then their 2 month anniversary, then their 3 month anniversary, and so on. You get one a year, people. That's it.

Hey, do I get points for not vaguebooking?

No. You do 37 loose points for celebrating powers while other people are mourning the loss of their own. Although at this point I'm not so certain it matters in your case.

Maybe someone just decided to give us non-powered folks a chance to feel what it's like so that we'll learn some grand lesson about seeing things from another perspective and understand that having powers isn't all fun and games like we think?

That would be much more believable if you weren't using your powers purely for your own amusement.

Or not, because if it doesn't matter in my case I'm just going to enjoy this.

I would think pictures of pokémon more akin to puppy pictures, cat pictures, etc. And they are quite popular on instagram. Perhaps we should start some private instagram accounts for pokémon?

Puppies and cats are inherently good, therefore spreading their cute imagery is also good.

Pokemon, on the other hand, are merely a breed of cash cow. There's a difference. Spreading their images do not bring happiness but do foster jealousy, unhealthy competition and resentment. Also most of them aren't cute.

What you choose to do with this information is entirely up to you.

Your opinion of pokémon is noted. However, pokémon games (and these pokémon too) have brought many people happiness. It has done many many good things. If it is not good for you, I suggest you not participate in it. It is easy enough to scroll past and ignore such posts.

To squash happiness where it is not harmful is unnecessary.

Yes, I can also scroll past posts of teenage girls celebrating their four month anniversary with their college boyfriend. My comparison still apt.

I think maybe you should think harder on what makes someone bad. And let people figure it out for their selves.

There are a number of things that make someone bad. These are just small examples intended for educational purposes chosen completely at random.

You are very welcome. People generally aren't very good at figuring out good vs. bad for themselves. It's why most of them end up in The Bad Place. Not that I mind the company of some of you.

Does it count as vaguebooking if you're vaguely referencing posts other people have made without directly naming them?

(Reply to this) (Thread)

[info]thearchitect

No, I don't believe my references were all that terribly vague.

However, seeing as I am not an angel, I do not believe it would qualify as shade, either. Shade, was in fact, invented by The Good Place and it is very effective.

I mean I don't particularly care. This abundance of social media has a tendency to reveal just how little most people have to say, so by all means call it out. I'm just seeing if we're all on the same page here.

I don't remember any of this from Sunday school. But I did skip a lot when my mother was trying to make partner.

An involuntary fashion accessory is not a reason to panic.
