Bruce paused for a moment, then reasoned that if this was a memory, then Tony had the right to hear about it given that it might happen to him at some future time and he ought to be prepared (unlike himself). Bruce sat down on the edge of the mattress beside Tony. "Here goes."
But instead of immediately launching into a monologue, the first thing Bruce did was spontaneously envelop Tony in a strong bear hug until tears welled in his eyes. When let go and wiped the tears away with the back of his hand, Bruce was more composed. "Alright. So, there's this alien, a big motherfucker named Thanos, and he wanted to collect these things called Infinity Stones. The Tesseract, the gem that wound up in Vision's forehead? Was one of them, the Mind Stone, but there were others."
Thus Bruce began telling Tony everything he knew, from Thanos' attack on Thor's spaceship, where the Hulk was sent away to crash into Dr Strange's home, all the way up to the battle in Wakanda. When he got to the part where Thanos snapped his fingers, Bruce suddenly stopped speaking, unwilling to relay the horror of watching people disintegrate into dust.
