I've been a bit of a hermit since I've gotten here. Or really, I blame settling into a new place.

Anyway, I am in desperate need of some new friends, since I can't just hang around my sister, her kids, and her boyfriend all the time, as great as they are.

What's a good place to get a couple of drinks around here? Because what says new friends like getting drunk together? Or not getting drunk, whatever anyone's up to.

It's usually a good way to meet people. "Hey, let's get drunk together!" Granted, there's other ways to meet someone, but in my experience, it's a good start.

I haven't seen my sister in a few years, and it's unlikely that I will. It seems to be out there on the internet in the form of fiction so I guess there's no reason to hide it. She was erased from history.

I'm Lucy. I'm up for drinking. Maybe not the getting drunk yet.

It's nice to meet you, Lucy. You don't have to get drunk, but it is an option. Just drinking is fine. Or even not drinking at all, if you want.

We got a little diverted trying to stop someone from destroying history, but the thing that erased her can't be undone by me. You can't go into any time that you've been to. It does things to your body.

I'm good with a few drinks. Hell, maybe getting drunk is just what I need.

What kind of world did you come from? A time period like this one?

Well, I know we just met, but if you need an ear to vent to, I'm here.

I came from a world where characters from fairy tales lived alongside ordinary people. Mundanes, or mundies, we called them. The time period was similar to this one, but I've been around for a long time. I stopped counting a couple hundred years ago.

Yup. That's me. It's nice to be remembered. Most people just forget about me, and only remember my sister. But yeah. It's true. Most of it. It's not all like you've read in books and seen on tv.
