The fact that he knew how she liked her tea would probably be a bit unnerving if she stopped to think about it. Everything about the idea of her life being a television show was unnerving. She just hoped that most people hadn't watched it.
His reaction did seem a bit callous, but then again that was Mycroft. He wasn't particularly a warm person. Neither was Mary, which was probably why they got along so well. "My father lost one of his dogs recently. He also had to be put down and Papa was quite blue about it." They had been thinking about getting him a puppy, perhaps for his birthday.
Mary took the cup of tea and lifted it to her lips. "I'm glad he was there then. Perhaps I ought to train mine more. She's just a little thing," Mary said. "I'm not sure if she would attack anything. Mostly she just makes pretty music."
